The Vrishadhvaja king was very brilliant. His son Rathdhwaj was also as mighty as he was. Rathdhwaj had two sons; Dharmadhwaj and Kushadhwaj respectively. The birth plan of Kushadhwaj happened due to the harsh penance of Lakshmi, the mother of Rathdhwaj. His wife Tejgamini worshiped Mata Kamakshi, and due to her desire for accomplishment, the plan for the birth of Dharmadhwaja took place.

Dharmadhwaja became a righteous king. Dharmadhwaj's wife Malavati had a daughter, who was a part of Saraswati. As soon as the girl was born, she came out of the birthplace while reciting the Veda mantras in a clear voice. The learned people called her "Vedavati", who went to the forest for penance. While in penance, there was a voice from the sky that Shri Hari will be her husband in the second birth. Then she got absorbed in severe penance on the Gandha-madana Mountain.

The demon king named Kretavarta used many clichés to corrupt the religion of Dharmadhwaja. To corrupt the modesty of Vedavati, he tried many ways. King Dharmadhwaja protected his daughter. Then Vedavati cursed him - " You will become a waste of time along with your brothers and sisters because you have touched me, lustfully." Then she renounced her body.

Vedavati became Sita in the second birth, who was married to Rama, which became the cause of death of the mighty demon.

Dharmadhwaj had spread his kingdom in present-day Egypt, Iran, and Iraq to Pakistan to Myanmar Brahmadesh. Dharmadhwaj was not focused on increasing the borders of his kingdom. His brother Kushwaj had a more practical approach in the composition of the court, the battles, etc. When Dharmadhwaj returned after a long time, he saw brother Kushadhwaj was handling the state very cleverly and efficiently.

Malavati was blessed to become a Kalash, which would be used for the consecration of Shiva.
